Capt. Gary Webb, 379th Expeditionary Medical Group critical care nurse starts intravenous therapy on a patient May 12, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Intravenous therapy may be used to correct electrolyte imbalances, to deliver medications, for blood transfusion or as fluid replacement. National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May sixth and goes through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of modern nursing.
