Ammo Airmen support operations
Staff Sgt. Jaron Greene and Staff Sgt. Thor Andresen log information from the Common Munitions Bit Reprogramming Equipment test set while performing an Initiated Built In Test on a Joint Direct Attack Munition tail kit during a six-month Assembled Munitions Serviceability Inspection. AMSIs are conducted to ensure all munitions components are serviceable and within the service life dates. The JDAMs are built and loaded on B-1B Lancers that support Operation Enduring Freedom. Both are 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron conventional munitions maintenance crew chiefs deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. Greene is a Whidbey Island, Wash., native and Andersen is a native of Lompoc, Calif. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. David Miller)
