Master Sgt. Robert Higgins sits aboard a C-17 Globemaster III next to a fully operational Viper communications system while in route to a previous missions at Shindand Air Base, Afghanistan. . Higgins is assigned to the 379th ECS Viper Team airborne communication and is serving a one year tour at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron's Viper Team is made up of six Airmen and on call 24/7 to provide airborne communication throughout the U.S. Air Forces Central Command area of responsibility.
