Blood Transshipment Center saves lives
Tech. Sgt. Daniel Geinosky scans blood products out of the local inventory prior to shipment at the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group Blood Transshipment Center, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Jan. 17, 2014. The BTC serves as the central point for storage and inventory assessment of all blood products in Central Command’s area of responsibility. The BTC ships an average of 600 blood products weekly supporting 43 medical treatment facilities throughout the AOR.
