Gen. Mike Hostage is briefed by Staff Sgt. Aaron Gerasch about storing procedures for fresh blood in the Blood Transshipment Center at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia, Nov. 11, 2013. The blood is scanned into an electronic database for accountability, then sorted and refrigerated at a temperature between 33 and 48 degrees Fahrenheit.
