Building bombs, saving lives
Staff Sgt. Everett Myles and Airman 1st Class Matthew Carlson install a sensor on a laser joint directed attack munition during a bomb build at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia, Sept. 2, 2013. The sensor is what guides the bomb once it is deployed from the aircraft. Myles is a 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron conventional maintenance crew chief and hails from Fort Worth, Texas. Carlson is a 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron conventional maintenance crew member and a Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., native. Both are deployed from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.
