Bagram Airmen assist Afghan government with aircraft movement
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Chase Terry (left), and Tech. Sgt. Aaron Moore, both from the 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, position a tow bar to hook up to a tug July 11, 2014. Terry and five Airmen from the 455 ELRS and Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron moved 16 disabled C-27 aircraft, and 12 tons of support equipment, at Kabul International Airport to assist the Afghan government. The Airmen are part of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing’s Crash, Damaged, Disabled, Aircraft Recovery team, and the C-27 movement provided real-world experience as they had to replace 19 tires and perform various maintenance and logistics actions in order to move the aircraft. Terry is deployed from Nellis AFB, Nev., and Moore is deployed from Davis Monthan AFB, Ariz. (U.S. Air Force photo by Jean Renne Dacayanan)
