361st Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron Deactivates in Afghanistan

U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. James Mansard, 361st Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron commander makes a few remarks on the successes of the past and current members of the 361st Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron to attendees during the 361 ERS deactivation ceremony Sept. 1, 2014 at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The 361 ERS was responsible for providing over watch for Regional Command-South and was responsible for scanning 57,000 kilometers of land, 700 convoys, 190 vehicle interdictions, 150 drug caches, 320 weapons caches and the removal of 890 enemies off the battlefield.
