Matthew Gage, 455th Expeditionary Safety Office wildlife biologist, fires off a pistol to scare away birds that are a potential risk to aircraft at Bagram, June 22, 2015, at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Gage is responsible for safely removing animals and birds that cause a risk to flight line and aircraft operations.
