Arming Security Forces
A security forces airman clears his M-9 pistol under the watchful eye of the clearing barrel official outside the 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron armory at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar Oct. 22. After receiving a weapon from the armory, airmen are required to ensure the weapon is clear by utilizing a clearing barrel.
