HVAC keeps AUAB chilled
Staff Sgt. Erik Nelson, left, and Senior Airman Jesse Fentross, 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron heating, ventilation and air conditioning journeymen, use probes from a multimeter on an electrical fuse from a chiller to check for an electrical short June 27, 2016, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Nelson, Fentross and the HVAC team worked through 117 degree heat for several hours to locate an electrical short and restore air conditioning systems at a nearby facility housing computer and communications equipment. The HVAC team, which is the largest in the U.S. Air Forces Central Command’s area of responsibility, provides service and maintenance support for 950 buildings across the base.
