Pararescuemen train alongside Afghan Air Force Airmen
A-29 Super Tucano pilots from the Afghan air force work with U.S. Air Force members from Bagram Air Field and Train, Advise, Assist Command-Air (TAAC-Air) to train on elements of survive, evade, resist and escape at Hunter Range, Afghanistan, Sep. 6, 2016. During Exercise Zenda Maandan II, the pilots learned how to navigate land, signal aircraft with mirrors and flares, and were also lifted into HH-60G helicopters. Members of TAAC-Air, Special Mission Wing and the 83rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron coordinated the training to give the pilots the experience and skill necessary to ensure their safe rescue and return home in the event they find themselves stranded during a mission.
