Master Sgt. Thomas Ryan, Train, Advise, Assist Command-Air (TAAC-Air) civil engineer advisor, starts an excavator before clearing reeds in a field at Kabul Air Wing, Afghanistan, Oct. 6, 2016. The excavator was loaned to TAAC-Air by the Afghan Air Force civil engineer squadron so that the area could be cleared of reeds that were preventing security forces members manning an entry control point from having a clear view of their surrounding area.
