Joint communication key to expeditionary rescue squadron’s success
An HH-60 Pave Hawk assigned to the 55th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron – Operating Location Alpha sits on the flightline at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Feb. 13, 2017. Airmen assigned to the 55th EQRS-OLA are responsible for providing combat search and rescue support to more than 500,000 square miles of area for the coalition forces of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve. More than 60 Coalition partners have committed themselves to the goal of eliminating the threat posed by ISIS in Iraq and Syria and have contributed in various capacities to the effort.
