Bone marrow registration drive provides service members with the opportunity to save a life
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Kevin Otero, official mail clerk assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron uses one of the a cotton swabs provided with a bone marrow donor registration kit to collect cells from the inside of his cheek, at Al Udeid, Air Force Base, Qatar, May 19, 2017. Otero made the decision to register as a bone marrow donor during a base-wide drive held in support of a military focused bone marrow donor registry that includes U.S. military members, their families and DoD civilian employees between the ages of 18 and 60 and whose donors are then added to the National Marrow Donor Registry.
