BASH program prevents strikes—keeps BAF mission going
Jimmy Capps, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing U.S. Department of Agriculture (APHIS) and BASH forward operating base biologist, checks the area surrounding the Bagram Airfield runway for rabbits, Sept. 16, 2017. Capps works with the 455th Air Expeditionary Safety Office to mitigate bird and animal hazards at BAF. Wildlife can present grave danger to aircraft, and thus Airmen and personnel at the base. It is imperative that bird and animal strike hazards are minimized. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Keenan Kunst)
