MX, CES Airmen perform first of its kind repair in AOR
(From left to right) Senior Airman Mitchell Halbleib, Senior Airman Zachari Dragan, and Senior Airman Ben Sumner, all with the 8th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (EAMS), prepare a pitch trim actuator for installation in a C-17 Globemaster III Dec. 17, 2018, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This is the first time a maintenance procedure like this has been done in U.S. Air Forces Central Command’s area of responsibility. Due to safety concerns, Airmen from the 8th EAMS and 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron combined capabilities to ensure the aircraft could be repaired prior to returning to home station.
