Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein recognizes a deployed Airman for exceptional performance while visiting an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Dec. 22, 2018. Goldfein spent time visiting with deployed Airmen across U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility. Goldfein serves as the senior uniformed Air Force officer responsible for the organization, training and equipping of 680,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian forces serving in the U.S. and overseas.
