U.S. Airmen from the 332nd Expeditionary Force Support Squadron transport meals-ready-to-eat Aug. 18, 2021, from an undisclosed location somewhere in Southwest Asia. The MREs were sent to U.S. Soldiers providing security at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. The U.S. Air Force, in support of the Department of Defense, moved forces into theater to facilitate the safe departure and relocation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigration Visa recipients, and vulnerable Afghan populations from Afghanistan.
