Airfield Damage Recovery
U.S. Air Force Airmen engage in a rapid airfield damage recovery (RADR) practical exercise at an undisclosed location in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Nov. 29, 2023. The RADR practical encompassed all actions required to rapidly repair runways and runway support structures to recover operations on an airfield due to an attack or other circumstances that can damage runway operations. The exercise exposed civil engineer Airmen to the unpredictable nature of working in an austere environment and better prepared them to respond to real-world scenarios.
