A U.S. Air Force entomology technician assigned to the 379th Civil Engineer Squadron relocates a sand fox, or Rüppell's fox, at an undisclosed location within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, May 30, 2024. The entomology career field is made up of only 190 members spread across the Air Force. The only branches across the Department of Defense with dedicated entomology technicians are the Air Force and Navy. All others combine the career field with other specialty positions.
