An Emirati servicemember practices tightening a tourniquet on a training mannequin during a tactical casualty combat care training led by U.S. Airmen assigned to the 380th Expeditionary Medical Element in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Nov. 11, 2025. During the care under fire phase of TCCC, the provider's first priority is to ensure their own safety and the safety of the casualty by taking cover or suppressing fire.
