USAF F-15E crashes in Southwest Asia

5/3/2012 - SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Air Force officials ruled out insurgent activity as a cause in the crash of an Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle which occurred earlier today at 11:40 a.m. local time during a routine training mission.

"While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, we can say that it was not due to any hostile fire or insurgent activity," said Maj. James Bressendorff, U.S. Air Forces Central spokesman.

More details will be released as they become known.
