Airmen assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management, walk to a scene with a simulated hazardous material spill during an exercise May 26, 2021, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. In the case of a hazardous material spill, the Emergency Management team would be responsible with cleaning up the hazardous materials, as well as preventing any further contamination. In this exercise, the participating Airmen were not only tested on their ability to perform their respective jobs, but also on their ability to communicate and work alongside other agencies to mitigate a simulated emergency.
