Air Force Marathon
The Airman of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing and its mission partners participate in the Air Force Marathon event Sept. 17, 2011, at an air base in Southwest Asia. The wing held a half-marathon and 10-km run in conjunction with the Air Force Marathon held annually in Ohio to celebrate the creation of the U.S. Air Force. The race started at 4 a.m. and lasted approximately three and a half hours. 2011 marks the fifth year that the Air Force has sanctioned deployed-location races overseas. Capt. John Dalrymple, from the 963rd Expeditionary Airborne Air Control Squadron, was the first member of the 380th AEW to complete the half marathon during the Air Force Marathon event, Sept. 17, 2011, at an air base in Southwest Asia. He completed the course in one hour, 29 minutes and 24 seconds. The wing held a half-marathon and 10-km run in conjunction with the Air Force Marathon held annually in Ohio to celebrate the creation of the U.S. Air Force. Air Force Marathon

New fitness tent expands workout options for deployed Airmen, Soldiers
Master Sgt. Richard Fullen, deployed to the 380th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron, works out at a new fitness facility at the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing. Force Support officials opened a new fitness facility Aug. 12 that will give deployed Airmen and Soldiers more options for their workouts 24/7.
