Hypersonic
Members of “Hypersonic” assigned to U.S. Air Forces Central Command, perform for patients and staff at the Intra-Theater Care Program at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Mar. 24, 2014. The ITCP is the only recovery facility in the Central Command area of responsibility and wounded warriors from all services are sent here for treatment and recovery in order to return to their deployed location. As members of the AFCENT band, this trio is an acoustic ensemble with voice, guitar, and cajon offering a wide variety of hit songs from genres such as jazz, pop, rock and country. Staff Sgt. Daniel Santos on guitar and native of Bulacon, Philippines, Senior Airman Brian Lumpkin on cajon and a Seattle, Wash. native, and Technical Sgt. Amber Grimes, a vocalist from Columbus, Ga. are deployed from Yokota Air Base, Japan and are preparing to tour several bases throughout Afghanistan in April, along with the other band members. Hypersonic

“Hypersonic,” the band assigned to U.S. Air Forces Central Command, performs for 150 8th graders from the American School of Doha at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Mar. 10, 2014. The 379th Air Expeditionary Wing hosted a field trip for ASD students, from 73 countries and showcased the variety of capabilities in the U.S. Air Force. The AFCENT band concluded the day performing a variety of hit songs that got the Airmen and children singing and dancing. Members of “Hypersonic” are currently deployed from Yokota Air Base, Japan.
