Advisors focus on activating Afghan clinic
A nurse draws a sample of blood with a butterfly needle from an Afghan Air Force member for laboratory examination December 28, 2013 as part of a training class at Shindand Air Base, Afghanistan. The 838th Air Expeditionary Advisory Group medical advisor team is currently focused on activating the Afghan Clinic Laboratory for the Shindand Air Wing and held a course on how to use and maintain the i-STAT system, a handheld blood analyzer that provides real-time, lab quality results within minutes.
