Qatar Animal Welfare Society
Airmen deployed to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar volunteered their time, Feb. 9, 2014, to help a local rescue, no-kill shelter, the Qatar Animal Welfare Society, by taking several dogs on walks around Doha. The six volunteers walked seven dogs each over a three hour time period, providing care to 35% of the canines that day. Q.A.W.S. and its furry residents are always in need of donations of any kind: food, leashes, collars, toys, cleaning supplies and so much more.
