Air Force, Navy, Marines LRS prepare for Native Fury
Airmen with the 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron work in conjunction with LRS members from the Navy and Marines to unload cargo from a U.S. commercial airline onto the Al Dhafra Air Base flightline, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 22, 2020 in support Native Fury. LRS members led the reception, download and processing of all the cargo and personnel, and are slated to move close to 200 tons of cargo and 3,000 personnel over the course of the exercise. Native Fury is an exercise to test the Marine Corp’s ability to quickly deploy forces in the event of a crisis, and is designed to train Special Purpose Marine-Air-Ground Task Force Marines and U.S. Navy Sailors in maritime prepositioning force operations.
