Keeping a running tradition alive: Al Udeid completes 2015 Air Force Marathon Forward
Deployed members make their way to the starting line during the 2015 Air Force Marathon Forward September 13, 2015 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This will mark seven years that the race has taken place at seven operating bases in theater. The first Air Force Marathon was held in 1997 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Runners sign up and collect their numbers and pre-run nutrition packs prior to the start of the 2015 Air Force Marathon Forward September 13, 2015 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. This will mark seven years of U.S Air Force deployed location races overseas, with seven operating bases in theater participating. The first Air Force Marathon was held in 1997 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
