Indy DFAC undergoes maintenance
Dirt Boys from the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, place concrete at the Independence Dining Facility on Aug. 22, 2019 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The concrete is being placed to address flooring concerns at the DFAC. The facility was closed on July 25, 2019 to address maintenance issues concerning pests. Staff Sgt. The Independence Dining Facility on Al Udeid Air Base Qatar remains closed after being shut down on July 25, 2019 to address maintenance concerns. The DFAC, located on the Coalition Compound, is the busiest food service facility on the installation, serving on average 5,500 meals per day. The installation itself, hosts the largest food operation in CENTCOM and the second largest food service operation in the Air Force, second only to basic military training.
