Hicks visits Mazar-e-Sharif
Brig. Gen. David Hicks, 438th Air Expeditionary Wing and Train, Advise, Assist Command – Air (TAAC-Air) commander, and Afghan Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Abdul Wahab, visited multiple leaders at Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan, July 21, 2016. Hicks piloted an A-29 Super Tucano to the TAAC-North Headquarters where he first met with German Brig. Gen. Leaving on a jet plane
Afghan Mi-17 helicopters are loaded onto an AN-124 at Hamid Karzai International Airport, Kabul, Afghanistan, July 18, 2016. The helicopters are being shipped to the Czech Republic for maintenance and repairs. Train, Advise, Assist Command-Air (TAAC-Air) personnel worked with the Afghan air force and the Non-Standard Rotary Wing program office to schedule the helicopters for heavy repair while still maintaining the AAF’s war fighting capabilities with the other aircraft in the fleet.
