SOUTHWEST ASIA --

Aircraft maintenance professionals assigned to the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing put up some extraordinary numbers in 2017, each and every man and woman making their own contributions to the historic air campaign against Islamic State militants throughout Southwest Asia. In recognition of the invaluable roll they played in the successful execution of Operation Inherent Resolve objectives, Air Combat Command awarded the 332d AEW's large aircraft maintenance component the 2017 Clements McMullen Memorial Daedalian Weapon System Maintenance Trophy.

"The Red Tail Maintainers of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing work extremely hard every day to uphold the Tuskegee Airmen's legacy as the Air Force's premier combat wing by generating and sustaining combat air and space power across the Levant.  The Daedalian Trophy represents the hard work, perseverance and team work performed by more than 1,000 maintainers.  The commitment to excellence demonstrated by these Airmen reflect great credit upon our profession and this award is a direct result of their outstanding professionalism motivated by a "no fail mind set" resulting in superior combat support.  Receiving this award represents our dedication to the mission of delivering the destruction that our enemies deserve.”
