Additional B-52 aircraft arrive to support Afghanistan drawdown

AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar --

Two U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress aircraft from the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, arrived at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, April 26, 2021. 

The bombers join two other B-52 aircraft that previously arrived to Al Udeid on April 23, 2021. The aircraft are deployed to the U.S. Central Command region to protect U.S. and coalition forces as they conduct drawdown operations from Afghanistan.
