A U.S. Air Force trainer from the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing conducts hot refueling training for an F-15E Strike Eagle, Aug. 23, 2020, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The training, which enhanced the mission capabilities for mobile distribution operators from the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron for hot refueling and 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron maintainers for aircraft arresting system certification, enables fighter aircraft to use Al Udeid as a hub to receive fuel quicker and the capability to stop a malfunction aircraft upon landing or takeoff. AUAB supports AOR stability with Quarantine Town
In response to the global pandemic, Novel Coronavirus, which swept across the globe in spring 2020, the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group stood up an unprecedented mass medical site known as Quarantine Town in order to curb the spread of the virus on April 1, 2020 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Leadership from the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing discuss quality of life for dorm residents at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Aug. 11, 2020. The construction at Al Udeid is a Qatar-led, funded, and executed project to build 10 state-of-the-art dormitories, two dining facilities, and three mission support facilities slated for completion in the near future in an effort to increase quality of life for the service members at the installation. The 379th Expeditionary Mission Support Group leadership and those involved in this project brought Airmen to the dorm to get feedback on the layout and furniture to ensure it meets their needs. The transition from expeditionary to enduring, modern facilities will improve the standard of living, alleviate stress, and provide safer hardened facilities for service members at Al Udeid Air Base.
