Afghan President Ashraf Ghani addressed the Afghan National Army, AAF and coalition partners, and spoke of the capabilities of the A-29, MD-530F, C-130, Mi-17, PC-12 and C-208 aircraft. He also praised the young air force for their efforts in the 2015 Fighting Season and Winter Campaign. The flying service was re-established in 2008 after it had ceased to exist following the collapse of the Soviet-backed Afghan regime in 1992. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Eydie Sakura/released)
