  • USMC F/A-18D aircraft conduct DFE to PSAB

    U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18D Hornet aircraft from Marine All Weather Fighter Squadron 224, Marine Aircraft Group 31, deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this week as part of a dynamic force employment to enhance U.S. Central Command’s ability to deter aggression and promote security and stability within the USCENTCOM area of responsibility. The detachment of F/A-18s along with squadron personnel, from Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, South Carolina, will rapidly integrate into the U.S. Air Forces Central’s theater air operations, including participating in coalition and regional partner-nation integration events. The unit’s presence in the theater highlights the U.S. military’s ability to deploy and employ forces anywhere around the globe at any moment.
  • “Hot Pit” training across region; PSAB hosts event with 379th AEW maintainers

    The 378th Expeditionary Operations Group hosted F-16CJ Fighting Falcon “hot pit” refueling training at Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for aircraft maintainers from Al Udeid AB, Qatar, April 29 to May 4, 2021.Hot pit refueling occurs when an aircraft has just landed and gets refueled on the ground while the engine is still running.

    Because the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing finds its roots in the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, a segregated African-American unit who earned distinction during WWII, diversity and inclusion take on special significance here.   • 609th AOC optimizes ATO production, first to use KRADOS operationally

    U.S. Air Forces Central’s 609th Air Operations Center made history this week when it became the first AOC to operationally utilize the Kessel Run All Domain Operations Suite to plan and execute the Master Air Attack Plan. The KRADOS suite of applications, which was developed by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Detachment 12—also known as Kessel Run—is being implemented to phase out the legacy Theater Battle Management Core System, and is the future system for all AOCs across the Air Force.
