Sports Day Challenge

Parker is the Transit Center fire chief and Washington is the deputy fire chief. The three man teams for the fireman's carry challenge were timed on their ability to conduct a mannequin drag, a fire-hose haul and to change a smoke detector battery. Kyrgyz Republic President Roza Otunbayeva views a wreath honoring those who died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, during the Remembrance Ceremony at the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan, Sept. 11. Otunbayeva spoke during the 60-minute ceremony and later visited the Pete Ganci Heritage Hall, which featured a number of 9/11 commemorative videos and displays, including a New York Fire Department firefighter's helmet from 9/11.
