Transit Center members attend local graduation ceremony
Last Bell or Graduation Day is a cherished tradition in Kyrgyzstan. Members of the Transit Center were among the invited guests and proud parents attending the Last Bell ceremony at Evrika School-Complex in Birdik Village May 25. Col. Dwight Sones, director of the Transit Center at Manas, personally congratulated the students on their accomplishment and wished them well as the future leaders of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz Parliament members witness aerial refuel capability
TRANSIT CENTER AT MANAS, Kyrgyzstan - Senior Master Sgt. Charles Jetton, 376th Expeditionary Operations Group, demonstrates the donning of the Emergency Portable Oxygen System in a safety briefing prior to a first-ever aerial refuel flight for members of the Kyrgyz Parliament 16 Feb. Parliament members were taken on a KC-135 Stratotanker for a demonstration refueling mission with a C-17 Globemaster III over the skies of Kyrgyzstan. This demonstration of air power highlighted to the parliamentarians the role of the Aerial Refuel mission here, one of the Transit Center's four mission pillars.
