SOUTHWEST ASIA --
The 380th Air Expeditionary Wing celebrated the National Prayer Breakfast in a non-denominational observance ceremony here April 1.
More than 60 Airmen gathered in the Levitow Room of the Oasis Dining Facility on base to celebrate together in what is now a national tradition.
The ceremony opened with the singing of the national anthem by 2nd Lt. Sheena Georgulis, 963rd Expeditionary Airborne Air Control Squadron, and an invocation by Lt. Col. Donald Hoffman, 380th AEW chaplain.
Additional prayers were read by wing personnel before a guest lecture by Maj. Jim Hedges (Ret.), a local contractor and instructor of the chapel's "Bible in the Middle East" lecture series.
The ceremony closed after Brig. Gen. H.D. Polumbo Jr., 380th AEW commander presented Hedges with a wing coin as a small token of gratitude for his participation.
